The Colorado Hearing Society is recognized for being the charter chapter of the International Hearing Society. This Society sets standards of professional integrity and practice including relationships with patients, colleagues, and the general public. Adherence to these standards is required for membership in the Colorado Hearing Society and is set forth to assure professional hearing care for the people of Colorado.

Our code of ethics includes, but is not limited to, standards related to truth in advertising, thorough and ethical services related to testing, fitting, and counseling. The member has the duty to observe all laws and regulations applicable to the dispensing of hearing instruments. Each member is required to uphold the dignity and honor of their profession.

The Colorado Hearing Society is a non-profit organization comprised of voting members whose principal activity is the professional dispensing of hearing instruments.

The Colorado Hearing Society is governed by a board of directors consisting of a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and four directors, all elected by the voting membership.

As professionals whose full-time focus is on hearing instrument dispensing, Colorado Hearing Society members are uniquely qualified to provide hearing aids and related services to their patients.

Each voting member is certified by the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences, and is registered to dispense hearing instruments in the State of Colorado. Each voting member must obtain a minimum of twenty-four hours of continuing education units (CEU's) every three years. Consumers are encouraged to purchase their hearing instruments though members of the Colorado Hearing Society.

• Visual and/or video otoscopy
• Physician referrals for medical assessment
• Complete audiometric testing*
• Hearing instrument selection for appropriate amplification
• Pre fit and post fit counseling
• Hearing instrument inspection, cleaning, and adjustment
• Hearing instrument evaluation and fault diagnosis
• Laboratory repair processing
• Custom ear molds for hearing aids, noise reduction (protection), and swim plugs
• Batteries and other essential assistive auditory products and accessories
